The New Business

Rafael, a friend of mine, started a new business, a butcher shop. Because this, he asked me to draw something or trademark. Rafael had some ideas and suggested me the characters like a cow, a hen and a pig...I did these sketches for him. From these sketches Rafael made the final art below. This is the new butcher shop called "Carne di Casa"...Good luck my friend in your new challenge !!!

Rafael, um amigo meu, iniciou um novo negócio, uma casa de carnes. Por isso, ele me pediu para desenhar alguma coisa ou símbolo. Rafael tinha algumas idéias e me sugeriu personagens como uma vaca, um frango e um porco...Eu acabei fazendo esse esboços para ele. A partir deles Rafael fez a arte final abaixo. Essa é a nova casa de carnes chamada "Carne di Casa"...Boa sorte meu amigo em seu novo desafio !!!

To complete the Metallica´s serie, the bassist Robert Trujillo. He came with a difficult mission...To substitute Jason Newsted. Robert has own style, but the fight is hard. As well as Cliff Burton left his mark, Jason too. The Jason´s mark was deep and it won´t be forgotten.

Para completar a série Metallica, o baixista Robert Trujillo. Ele veio com uma difícil missão...Substituir Jason Newsted. Robert tem estilo próprio, mas a luta é dura. Assim como Cliff Burton deixou sua marca, Jason também. A marca de Jason foi profunda e não será esquecida.

Lars Ulrich is the Metallica´s drummer...He and James Hetfield started the Metallica band. Lars has an excentric style, but when he plays the drum...Wow !!! The percussion is fantastic. Last year, Metallica participated of 24th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction Ceremony...Now the band belongs to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame from Cleveland - Ohio - USA. In the bottom, there is a link where you can see the gallery of this ceremony.

Lars Ulrich é o baterista da banda americana Metallica...Ele e James Hetfield iniciaram a banda. Lars tem um estilo excêntrico, mas quando ele toca a bateria...Wow !!! A percussão é fantástica. No ano passado, o Metallica participou da 24ª Cerimônia Anual do Hall da Fama do Rock´n Roll. Agora a banda também pertence ao Hall da Fama de Cleveland - Ohio - Estados Unidos. Death Magnetic

Today, tomorrow and Sunday, the Metallica plays here in Brazil...The World Magnetic Tour !!! Kirk Hammet is a great lead guitar from the band...His riffs are fantastics. Kirk plays many guitars, in special a Gibson "Les Paul" Custom Black...It´s my favourite guitar´s model produced in Memphis - TN - USA...I did this quick Kirk´s sketch to celebrate the Metallica´s Brazilian Tour.

Hoje, amanhã e Domingo, o Metallica toca aqui no Brasil...A Turnê World Magnetic !!! Kirk Hammet é o grande guitarrista da banda...Seus riffs são fantásticos. Kirk toca várias guitarras, em especial uma Gibson Les Paul Custom Preta...É o meu modelo de guitarra favorito, produzida em Memphis - Tennessee - Estados Unidos...Eu fiz esse rápido esboço do Kirk para celebrar a Turnê Brasileira do Metallica.

Sad But True...

Any Heavy Metal Band must to have a "strong" sound...In general some member of band give this weight. I love the Metallica´s song...Jason Newsted, ex-bassist, gave the weight to the Metallica´s sound. Unfortunetly, Jason left the band in 2.001...In despite of Metallica meet a new bassist, Jason was the best for me...It´s impossible think Metallica and forget Jason Newsted. This is my tribute to him.

Qualquer banda de Heavy Metal que se preze deve ter um som "pesado"...Em geral algum membro da banda dá esse peso. Eu adoro as músicas do Metallica...Jason Newsted, ex-baixista, dava o peso para o som do Metallica. Infelizmente, Jason deixou a banda em 2.001...Apesar do Metallica ter encontrado um novo baixista, Jason foi o melhor para mim...É impossível pensar no Metallica e esquecer Jason Newsted. Esse é o meu tributo para ele.

Bill Cosby is an American Comedian. I tried him in this sketch, but I´m not sure if I got a good likeness. Sometimes I´m looking for the details to give more likeness and I lose the focus. I´m learning yet...Each sketch is a study for me...

Bill Cosby é um comediante americano. Eu tentei uma carica dele nesse esboço, mas eu não estou certo que eu consegui uma boa semelhança. As vezes eu procuro por detalhes que me dêem mais semelhança possível e aí eu acabo perdendo o foco. Eu estou aprendendo ainda...cada esboço é uma lição para mim...

Dalcio Machado, the best !!!

I don´t know, but I think the brazilian cartoonist, Dalcio Machado, has been awarded more than anyone here in Brazil. He was 15 when his work was selected in the first time in Piracicaba International Humor Contest. He has a great talent for the arts and his blog is a class for me. Eu não sei, mas eu acho que o cartunista brasileiro, Dalcio Machado, é o mais premiado aqui no Brasil. Ele tinha 15 anos de idade quando teve seu primeiro trabalho selecionado no Salão Internacional de Humor de Piracicaba. Ele tem um grande talento para as artes e seu blog é uma aula para mim. Iggy Pop

I´m not an Iggy´s fan, but I recognize that his face and pictures are very interesting to draw. This is a classic Iggy´s picture. A lot of artists did a caricature from this picture...The illustration was made using pencil on recycled paper and a white colour pencil on background and brightness.

Eu não sou um fan do Iggy, mas eu reconheço que sua face e suas fotos são muito interessantes para se desenhar. Essa é uma clássica foto dele. Muitos artistas já fizeram uma caricatura dela...A ilustração foi feita usando lápis sobre papel reciclado e um lápis de cor branco ao fundo e como brilho.

Nicko "Boomer" McBrain

I love Rock´n Roll and Heavy Metal. Iron Maiden is my favorite band. A friend of mine asked me to draw Nicko McBrain (The Iron Maiden´s drummer)...He sent me an e-mail with a Nicko´s picture. Ok, you won my friend !!!

Nicko is a great drummer of Rock´n Roll´s world. He is an icon for the Iron Maiden´s fans. Thus, for my friend Chicão, Nicko "Boomer" McBrain...Up the Irons !!!

Eu adoro Rock´n Roll e Heavy Metal. Iron Maiden é minha banda favorita. Um amigo me pediu para desenhar Nicko McBrain (O baterista do Iron Maiden)...Ele me enviou até um e-mail com uma foto do Nicko. Ok, meu amigo você venceu !!!

The Magician of Cartoon

I never hid I´m a fan of brazilian cartoonist Angeli. He is the "Magician of Cartoon". His characters are very famous and funny..."Rê Bordosa", "Wood and Stock" e "Os Skrotinhos" are incredible. I love his style, colors, format, etc...I learn each time I see his cartoons. Great Angeli, you are the best !!!

Eu nunca escondi que eu sou um fã do cartunista brasileiro Angeli. Ele é o "Mago dos Cartuns". Seus personagens são muito famosos e divertidos..."Rê Bordosa", "Wood e Stock" e "Os Skrotinhos" são incríveis. Eu adoro seu estilo, cores, formas, etc... School of Rock

Jack Black has an interesting face and expression. His eyes, mouth, beard, hair, etc..., give us an excentric joint. Because this, I tried to do Jack´s caricature. Some Jack´s movies are hilarious too. In special, I loved two, "School of Rock" and "Envy". In "The Jackal" and "King Kong 2.005" you can see another style of him. This art was made with pencil only.

Jack Black tem um interessante rosto e expressão. Seus olhos, boca, barba, cabelo, etc..., nos dá um conjunto excêntrico. Por isso, eu tentei fazer uma carica dele. Alguns filmes de Jack são hilários também. Em especial, eu adorei dois, "Escola de Rock" e "A inveja Mata". Em "Chacal" e "King Kong 2.005" você pode ver um outro estilo dele. Essa arte foi feita com lápis sobre papel somente.
