In this week Ed Van Der Linden was the challenge to the Bookface Caricature Session in Facebook...Ed is a great artist from Netherland...The last two sessions Ed won (Michelle Pfeiffer and Cate Blanchett)...Now, he is the victim...This is my Ed´s sketch...I don´t have a lot of time to make a beautiful final art...For me it is only a good opportunity to practice...I hope Ed enjoy it...

I can tell you that I tried a Lemmy´s caricature, but my best result was an illustration...I didn´t get a good exageration of him...Then this quick sketch I´d like to dedicate to my friends Ricco-5th "Horseman" and Chicão "McBrain"...

I´ve been participating of contests around the world...Recently, I received an invitation to the Biennial Humor Contest of Gabrovo - Bulgaria. The theme for the cartoon category was "All roads to lead to...". My reading about this theme was the evolution of men and his sexual life...I tried a joke with a Viagra pills when the glory days seem finished or an over sexual life, I don´t know...Unfortunetly, this cartoon wasn´t selected by jury of contest...Nothing else matter...I´m satisfied to make my art...

Eu tenho participado de vários salões pelo mundo...Recentemente, eu recebi um convite para a Bienal de Humor de Gabrovo - Bulgaria. O tema para categoria catum era "Todos os caminhos levam para...". Minha leitura sobre o tema foi a evolução dos homens e sua vida sexual...Eu tentei brincar com a idéia de uma pílula de Viagra quando os dias de glória parecem terminados ou uma sobre vida sexual, eu não sei....Infelizmente, esse cartum não foi selecionado pelo júri do salão...Nada mais importa...Eu estou satisfeito em fazer a minha arte...

An Icon, perhaps can be the best word to define the great Baseball player George Herman Ruth Junior or simply, Babe Ruth...He started playing in the Boston Red Sox and later by the New York Yankees (team where he most acted)...He was one of the first five players elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame...In 1.998, he was chosen the number one of the list of "Baseball´s 100 Greatest Players"...Babe Ruth died early when he was 53, victim of malignant tumor in the neck. This sketch is my homenage to him and my friend Vladimir, a Babe´s fan...

Um ícone, talvez é a melhor palavra para definir o grande jogador de Baseball George Herman Ruth Junior or simplesmente, Babe Ruth. Ele começou a jogar no Boston Red Sox e mais tarde pelo New York Yankees (time onde ele mais atuou)...Ele foi um dos cinco primeiros jogadores eleitos para o Hall da Fama do Baseball...Em 1.998, ele foi escolhido o número 1 da lista dos "100 Maiores Jogadores de Baseball"...Babe Ruth morreu cedo aos 53 anos de idade, vítima de um tumor malígno no pescoço. Esse esboço é minha homenagem para ele e meu amigo Vladimir, um fã de Babe...

The Master of Short Comics (Remake)

I´ve tried to improve my dash...Sometimes, I review some of my old drawings and try to do a new reading of them...My aim is to improve the distortion without losing the likeness...Maybe this is my biggest deficiency. Today my victim (in a good sense) again is the great brazilian master of short comics, José James Teixeira...The result seemed better than before...Only Dr. Roberval, character of the illustrious cartoonist, was short in T-shirt...hahaha !!! Then it´s asking too much...

Eu tenho procurado melhorar a qualidade do meu traço...As vezes, eu revejo alguns desenhos meus e tento fazer uma nova releitura deles...Meu objetivo é melhorar a distorção sem perder a semelhança...Talvez essa seja a minha maior deficiência. Hoje minha vítima (no bom sentido) novamente é o grande mestre brasileiro das tirinhas, José James Teixeiras...Somente o Dr. Roberval, personagem do ilustre cartunista, ficou a desejar na camisa...hahaha !!! Aí já é querer demais...

The Final Frontier World Tour - 2.011

Some rock bands, like wines, need to become oldest to improve, not Iron Maiden...The band keeps the same energy and vibe. The Iron Maiden is my favourite Heavy Metal Band...I´ve attended Iron Maiden´s concert since 1.983...Since then, it were eight times...Saturday 26, I went to São Paulo to have my special moment again...It was FANTASTIC !!! To celebrate this English Band and the World Tour I did this Bruce Dickinson´s sketch...I hope you enjoy it...UP THE IRONS !!!

P.S. - I´d like to ask apologize by the sound of the video clip...My digital camera is limited...

Algumas bandas de rock, assim como os vinhos, precisam envelhecer para e tornarem melhores, o Iron Maiden não...A banda mantém a mesma energia e vibração. O Iron Maiden é minha banda de Heavy Metal favorita...Eu tenho assistido shows deles desde 1.983...E lá se vão oito vezes...Sábado (26/03), eu fui a São Paulo para ter meu momento especial novamente...Foi simplesmente FANTÁSTICO !!! Para celebrar essa banda inglesa e a turnê mundial eu fiz esse rápido esboço do Bruce Dickinson...Eu espero que você aprecie...UP THE IRONS !!!

The Master...

JBosco is a great Brazilian cartoonist and caricaturist...He is a reference for anyone...I have a great respect for him. Another day I received a homage of this good friend in the Facebook, when he posted my caricature...Then, I think that I can have my revenge, in a good sense, of course...hahaha !!! Thank you Professor !!! You´re our Master...

JBosco é um grande cartunista e caricaturista brasileiro...Ele é uma referência para qualquer um...Eu tenho um grande respeito por ele. Outro dia recebi uma homenagem desse bom amigo no Facebook, quando ele postou a minha carica no seu traço...Então, eu acho que posso ter a minha vingança, no bom sentido, claro...hahaha!
