Destroyer

Gene Simmons is the bassist and lead singer from KISS Rock Band...I´m a KISS fan...In the begin there was a charm the masks because all people wanted to know the real identity of the band´s members...If I´m not mistaken there was an album with a short story on the cover about this...Mr. Simmons has an interesting mark, his tongue (a long tongue, I would say). This quick sketch was made in 30 minutes...This is a short inspiration, only...!!!

Gene Simmons é o baixista e vocalista da Banda de Rock KISS...Eu sou um fã do KISS...No princípio existia um charme com as máscaras porque todos queriam conhecer a verdadeira identidade dos membros da banda...Se não estou enganado existiu um álbum com uma história em quadrinhos sobre isso na capa...Sr. Simmons tem uma marca interessante, sua língua (uma língua comprida, eu diria). Esse rápido esboço foi feito em 30 minutos...Isso é uma rápida inspiração, somente !!!

Dr. Hannibal

Anthony Hopkins is great actor from England...In the movie "The Silence of the Lambs", he gives life to the Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a serial killer. I have been studying his face to make a caricature. This sketch was made in 2 hours using pencil on the paper.

Anthony Hopkins é um grande ator inglês...No filme "O Silêncio dos Inocentes", ele dá vida ao Dr. Hannibal Lecter, um serial killer. Eu venho estudando o rosto dele para uma caricatura. Esse esboço foi feito em 2 horas usando lápis sobre papel.

Breaking the Law...

This is a quick sketch before start a day work...Chicão, a friend of mine, sent some Rob Halford´s pictures. Rob was the great Judas Priest Band´s singer. I watched a Rob´s concert in the Rock ´n Rio 3...It was fantastic !!! Thus, "Breaking the Law", Mr. Halford for all fans including Chicão, of course...hahaha !!!

Esse é um rápido esboço antes de iniciar meu dia de trabalho...Chicão, um amigo meu, enviou algumas fotos dele. Rob foi o grande vocalista da Banda Judas Priest. Eu assisti um concerto de Rob no Rock´n Rio 3...Foi fantástico !!! Assim, "Quebrando as Regras", Sr. Halford para todos os fans incluindo Chicão...hahaha !!!

The Woodcutter

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of USA...He lived difficult times of the country´s history with the American Civil War. These days looking his old pictures I decided to try this sketch...Mr. Lincoln was great man and his legacy include the Emancipation Proclamation of black people.

Abraham Lincoln foi o 16º Presidente dos Estados Unidos...Ele viveu tempos difíceis da história do país com a Guerra Civil Americana. Esses dias olhando velhas fotos dele eu decidi tentar esse esboço...Sr. Lincoln foi um grande homem e seu legado inclue a Abolição da Escravatura.

Paul Moyse (Remake)

Paul Moyse is a great illustrator from England. Last year I tried a Paul´s caricature, but I wasn´t satisfied with the result...Then, I decided wait my arts improve to try again. Today, I looked at the first sketch and I changed somethings (head format, chin, ears,..., etc)...I hope Paul and the blog visitors enjoy of the remake.

Paul Moyse é um grande ilustrador e caricaturista inglês. No ano passado eu tentei uma caricatura do Paul, mas ela não me agradou...Então, eu decidi esperar meu traço melhorar para tentar novamente. Hoje, eu olhei o primeiro esboço e mudei algumas coisas (formato da cabeça, queixo, orelhas,..., etc)...Eu espero que Paul e o visitantes desse blog desfrutem do remake.

Brazilian Rush Tour 2.010 - Final

Alex Lifeson is the last piece of Rush´s puzzle. He is the great lead guitar of the band. In my oppinion, Alex´s caricature was very difficult...I don´t know, perhaps the other members had something different (eyes, noses, etc)...At last, I hope you can enjoy it...I´d like to thank my friend Chicão by the Rush´s pictures, comments and incentive.

Alex Lifeson é a última peça do quebra-cabeça Rush. Ele é o grande guitarrista da banda. Na minha humilde opinião, essa carica do Alex foi muito difícil...Eu não sei, talvez os outros membros da banda tinham algo diferente (olhos, narizes, etc)...Enfim, eu espero que você goste...Eu gostaria muito de agradecer meu amigo Chicão pelas fotos do Rush, comentários e incentivo.

The great Rush´s singer, bassist and keyboardist Geddy Lee doesn´t need to be presented. He is fantastic...I love his perfect voice. The "Closer to the Heart" is my favourite song. This is my caricature sequence to celebrate the Brazilian Rush Tour 2.010.

O grande cantor, baixista e tecladista Geddy Lee não precisa ser apresentado. Ele é fantástico...Eu adoro sua voz perfeita. "Closer to the Heart" é a minha música favorita. Essa é minha seqüência de caricaturas para celebrar a Turnê Brasileira do Rush 2.010.

Brazilian Rush Tour 2.010 - Part 1

The Rush is one of my favourite rock band...The band comes from Canada and its songs are fantastics like "Circumstances", "Big Money", Mystic Rhytims, "A Farewell to Kings", "Tom Sawyer",..., etc. Here in Brazil the song "Tom Sawyer" was played a lot in the TV Series "MacGyver" (I don´t know if the same fact happened in USA)...Now in October Rush will play here again. Thus, I decided to try the caricature of the great drummer, Neil Peart. I´d like to thanks my friend Chicão by the excellents pictures.

O Rush é uma das minhas bandas de rock favoritas...A banda é originária do Canadá e as músicas são fantásticas como "Circumstances", "Big Money", "Mystic Rhytims", "A Farewell to Kings", "Tom Sawyer",..., etc. Aqui no Brasil a música "Tom Sawyer" era tocada na abertura da Série de TV "MacGyver" (Eu não sei se isso também acontecia nos Estados Unidos)...Agora em Outubro o Rush tocará aqui novamente. Hoover Dam

In July 2.010 during our Family Vacations, like a good Civil Engineer, I visited Hoover Dam located at Colorado River (on the border between US States of Nevada and Arizona). This fantastic construction was possible due the massive effort of the people, among them Mr. Herbert Clark Hoover. In 1.935, the Dam was concluded and it was named "Hoover Dam". Mr. Hoover was the 31th President of USA...Thus, this is my homenage to this great man for his vanguard.

Em Julho 2.010 durante nossas férias familiares, como um bom Engenheiro Civil, eu visitei a Barragem Hoover localizada no Rio Colorado (divisa entre os estados americanos de Nevada e Arizona). Essa fantástica obra foi possível devido ao esforço massivo de muitas pessoas, entre elas o Sr. Herbert Clark Hoover, Em 1.935, a barragem foi concluída e foi nomeada "Hoover Dam". O Sr. Hoover foi o 31th Presidente dos Estados Unidos...Assim, essa é minha homenagem para esse grande homem por sua vanguarda.

John Goodman is the American actor who lived Fred Flintstone in the cinema...I love this movie...Mr. Goodman has an interesting face format, because of this I chose him to this sketch...Thus, Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Yabadabadu...!!!
