The Goalkeeper...

Always when you thing about soccer, you can remember of the teams, goals, forwards, etc..., but the goalkeepers aren´t remebered. In fact, they avoid the goal...and the goal is the maximum exponent in the game...Because this, perhaps they can be hated. Here in Brazil, there is a goalkeeper that became the feeling different. Rogério Ceni, from São Paulo Futebol Clube, is the goalkeeper that more goals did in all times. Then this caricature, Retro style, I´d like to dedicate to the São Paulo´s fans: Léo, Luciano, Rinaldo, Rovério, Jair and my special friend Celso Carlos Antunes (where you can be...!!!).

Sempre quando você pensa em futebol, você pode se lembrar dos times, gols, artilheiros, etc..., mas os goleiros não são lembrados. Na verdade, eles evitam o gol...e o gol é o expoente máximo do jogo...Por isso, talvez eles sejam tão odiados. Aqui no Brasil, existe um goleiro que tornou o sentimento diferente. Rogério Ceni, do São Paulo Futebol Clube, é o goleiro que mais gols fez em todos os tempos. Assim essa caricatura, estilo Retrô, eu gostaria de dedicar para os fanáticos torcedores do São Paulo: Léo, Luciano, Rinaldo, Rovério, Jair e meu amigo especial Celso Carlos Antunes (onde você estiver...!!!).

The Madman...

Tom Richmond is a great American Cartoonist...I love his style. The details, technics, etc. He is a MAD Magazine´s cartoonists, because this his works doesn´t need to be presented. I´ve been studying the Tom´s tutorials...It is very interesting. I tried to make a Tom´s caricature, but I ´m learning yet. The best statement to the caricature was put him in the MAD´s cover...What do you think about ???

Tom Richmond é um grande Cartunista Americano...Eu adoro seu estilo. Os detalhes, técnicas, etc. Ele é um dos cartunista da Revista MAD, por esse motivo seus trabalhos não precisam ser apresentados. Eu tenho estudado atentamente os seus tutoriais...São muito interessantes. Eu tentei fazer uma caricatura dele, mas eu ainda estou aprendendo. A melhor indicação que eu encontrei para essa carica foi colocá-la numa capa da Revista MAD...O que você acha ???

Finazzi é o Cara !!!

I love soccer...I´ve been participating of a group called "Dew Group". This group play soccer every week on thursday's night at "Círculo Militar de Campinas". Some days ago, we receive a very special guest to play with us, the great forward Finazzi. He is a professional...He played soccer in Ponte Preta, América - SP, Corinthians, Atlético - PR,..., etc. He is a great person. Hamilton, a friend of mine, asked me to draw him and I did...Then, Hamilton gave this caricature to him. It was fantastic for me to play soccer with him and to do the caricature too...I´d like to thank my "brother" Hamilton by the pictures.

Eu amo futebol...Eu tenho participado de um grupo chamado "Turma do Sereno". Esse grupo se reune para jogar futebol toda quinta-feira a noite no ambiente do "Círculo Militar de Campinas". Alguns dias atrás, nós recebemos um convidado muito especial para jogar conosco, o grande atacante Finazzi. Ele é um profissional. Ele já jogou futebol pela Ponte Preta, América- SP, Corinthians, Atlético - PR,..., etc. Ele é um cara muito bacana. Hamiltom, um amigo meu, me pediu para fazer uma carica dele e eu fiz...Então, Hamilton entregou prá ele...Foi fantástico para mim jogar futebol com ele e também fazer a carica. Eu gostaria de agradecer meu "brother" Hamilton, titular absoluto do gol do Sereno, pelas fotos.

Kal Penn

Kal Penn is an American actor...His most famous character in the House M.D. Series was Dr. Lawrence Kutner in 36 episodes. He asked to the writers killed off his character because he wanted to work in the Barack Obama´s Administration as the Associate Director in the White House of Public Liaison. This is a quick sketch to the blog files.

Kal Penn é um ator Americano...Seu mais famoso personagem na série de TV House foi o Dr. Lawrence Kutner em 36 episódios. Ele pediu que os autores eliminassem seu personagem para que ele fosse trabalhar na Administração de Barack Obama como Diretor Associado de Relações Públicas da Casa Branca. Esse é um rápido esboço para os arquivos desse blog.

Larry Fine...

I grew up watching "The Three Stooges" on TV...My prefered group were Moe, Larry and Curly. Nowadays, I have a good moment when I see these movies again...It is vary hilarious. Today I tried to drawing the great Larry Fine in this quick sketch. Larry died in 1.975.

Eu cresci assistindo "Os Três Patetas" na TV...Meu conjunto preferido eram Moe, Larry e Curly. Atualmente, eu tenho bons momentos quando vejo esses filmes novamente...Eles são muito divertidos. Hoje eu tentei desenhar o grande Larry Fine nesse rápido esboço. Larry morreu em 1.975.

Alfred E. Neuman and his Comrades...

This Thematic Caricature was made for an International Contest here in Brazil. In fact, the Brazilcartoon and the Mad Magazine´s Publishing Company supported the contest. I don´t know if the chosen group pleased the people, but for me it was an interesting meeting. The final result will be known on May.

Essa é uma caricatura temática que foi feita para um salão aqui no Brasil. Na verdade, o Brazilcartoon e a editora da Revista Mad deram suporte ao salão. Eu não sei se o grupo escolhido agradou as pessoas, mas para mim foi uma interessante reunião. O resultado final será conhecido em Maio.

Jimmy Carter

James Earl Carter Jr. was the 39th President of USA, from 1.977 to 1.981. This art I did to the Rhinocerus Magazine´s International Contest in Bosnia & Herzegovina. The theme was "Politics and Politicians". In fact, the Jimmy´s caricature was the last 30 selected to the final dispute. The jury hated the drawing. It was the last one in the final classification...I´m frustrated, because I received the worst grade from an "artist" that produce unrecognizable caricatures. You can see the result and the artworks in the link below. Thus, like a friend of mine, Léo, would say: "...the Show must go on...".

James Earl Carter Jr. foi o 39º Presidente Americano de 1.977 até 1.981. Esse desenho eu fiz para um Salão Internacional da Revista Rhinocerus na Bósnia & Herzegovina. O tema era "Políticos e Políticas". Na verdade, essa caricatura de Jimmy Carter ficou entre as 30 finalistas. O júri odiou o desenho. Ele foi o último colocado na classificação final...Eu estou frustrado, porque eu recebi a pior nota de um "artista" que faz caricaturas irreconhecíveis. Você pode ver o resultado final e os finalistas no link acima. Assim, como um amigo meu, Léo, diria: "...o Show deve continuar...".

Obama´s Sketches...

When I started the Obama´s sketches I didn´t know which would be the best background...According to Tom Richmond, a good caricature must have three essentials elements, among them is a statement...I chose the American´s flag. I think there isn´t a statement better than this or is there ??? In this post you can see three stages of creation...I hope you enjoy them.

Quando eu iniciei os esboços do Obama não sabia qual seria o melhor fundo...De acordo com Tom Richmond, uma boa caticatura deve ter três elementos essenciais, entre eles está uma indicação ou dica sobre a pessoa...Eu escolhi a bandeira Americana. Eu acho que não existe uma indicação melhor ou existe ???

Obama Wants You...

Mr. Barack Hussein Obama is the 44th President of USA. He is a winner for me in many aspects. Obama broke paradigms when he became the first black president of USA. I see a good intentions in his attitudes, like Health Insurance Reform...At last, I believe him. This art was made to the Rhinocerus Magazine´s International Contest in Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Sr. Barack Hussein Obama é o 44º Presidente dos Estados Unidos da América. Ele é um vencedor para mim em muitos aspectos. Obama quebrou paradigmas quando se tornou o primeiro presidente negro dos Estados Unidos. Eu vejo boas intenções nas atitudes dele, como a reforma do saúde. Enfim, eu acredito nele. Essa carica foi feita para um salão internacional promovido pela Revista Rhinocerus da Bósnia & Herzegovina.

Heaven and Hell

Ronnie James Dio is a great singer from United States of America. Dio was Rainbow´s singer in the 70´s...In that time the leader of the band was Ritchie Blackmore. Later, he went to Black Sabbath to the Ozzy´s place. The new ages produced great songs like: Neon Knights, Children of the Sea, Mob Rules, Heaven and Hell,..., etc. Dio tried solo career with some success, but the Black Sabbath and Dio was the best meeting. Nowadays, Dio fights against stomach cancer...I hope Dio can win this battle...This is my tribute for him.

Ronnie James Dio é um vocalista americano. Dio foi vocalista da banda Rainbow nos anos 70...Nessa época o líder da banda era o lendário guitarrista Ritchie Blackmore. Mais tarde, ele foi para o Black Sabbath no lugar do também lendário Ozzy. A nova era produziu grandes músicas como: Neon Knights, Children of the Sea, Mod Rules, Heaven and Hell,..., etc. Dio tentou carreira solo com algum sucesso, mas o Black Sabbath e Dio foi o melhor encontro. Atualmente, Dio luta contra um câncer no estômago...Eu espero que Dio possa vencer essa batalha...Esse é o meu tributo para ele.

The Madness

Alfred E. Neuman is the Mad Magazine´s icon. Since my childhood I loved to read the Mad magazine. More than the jokes, the drawings were fantastics, mainly the movie stories. Really, it is was a caricature class for anyone. Unfortunatly, this magazine lost the power here in Brazil, but I follow like a fanatic reader. This art I did for an International Contest..Soon I´ll post here my artwork.

Alfred E. Neuman é o ícone da Revista Americana Mad. Desde a minha infância eu adorava ler a revista Mad. Mais do que as piadas, os desenhos eram fantásticos, principalmente as estórias dos filmes. Realmente, era uma aula de desenhos de caricatura para qualquer um. Infelizmente, essa revista perdeu um pouco da força aqui no Brasil, mas eu sigo como um fanático leitor. Essa arte eu fiz para um salão internacional...Em breve eu postarei aqui minha arte.
