This week I finished the Paul Moyse´s Tutorials...It were 18 weeks, a lot of works, assignments every week and funny too... I love to draw, because this it was funny...I don´t know if my dash is better than before now...But I feel better to try, because I know the way to follow...This was my last assignment of "Extreme Exaggeration"...Bruce Willis was my victim...I don´t know about Paul´s critique yet...The final result was good for me...And like would say Buzz Lightyear: "...To infinite and beyond...!!!"

All my friends know that I love Rock´n Roll...Among my favourite Rock Bands are Black Sabbath...I watched a Black Sabbath´s concert in São Paulo with Ronnie James Dio like the singer...It was fantastic...Recently, the Black Sabbath announced the reunion of the band again with the first training (Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Bill Ward and Geezer Butler)...To celebrate the good news I decided to try Mr. Geezer Butler. After a few months studying the Paul Moyse´s tutorials, I tried the art in Photoshop CS4...This was the result...I hope you enjoy it. I´d like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, especially for my Brazilan friends Chicão and Ismael and my foreign friends Bodard, AMBre and Bridie...I couldn´t forget to thank the great teacher and master of caricature Paul Moyse for teaching during this time...Thank you Paul !!!

Carlos Massa is a famous interviewer and showman of Brazilian TV...His nickname is "Little Mouse" (Ratinho in Portuguese)...A friend of mine, Hamilton, asked to me the drawing him, because he would meet with Ratinho soon. I don´t have a lot of time avaliable, then I did a quick sketch pencil on paper...This was the result...Hamilton gave the drawing to the Ratinho and sent to me the picture of moment...Thank you Hamilton !!! I´ve tried to improve my dash...Sometimes, I review some of my old drawings and try to do a new reading of them...My aim is to improve the distortion without losing the likeness...Maybe this is my biggest deficiency. Some rock bands, like wines, need to become oldest to improve, not Iron Maiden...The band keeps the same energy and vibe. The Iron Maiden is my favourite Heavy Metal Band...I´ve attended Iron Maiden´s concert since 1.983...Since then, it were eight times...Saturday 26, I went to São Paulo to have my special moment again...It was FANTASTIC !!! I started a new phase of challenges...On Facebook there is a group called "Caricaturama 3000"...This group, composed of several professional and amateur artists, offers a weekly challenge to be a caricature done...There are no prizes, only a healthy competition...Few weeks ago the person chosen was the French muse, Brigitte Bardot...At that moment I realized I never tried a female caricature and, I confess, was a bit unusual for me. So the best I got was this stylized sketch of her, where I tried to emphasize their eyes, hair and mouth (hallmarks).

Eu iniciei uma nova etapa de desafios...No Facebook existe um grupo denominado "Caricaturama 3000"...Esse grupo, composto por vários artistas profissionais e amadores, propõe semanalmente um desafio para ser feito uma caricatura...Não existem prêmios, somente uma competição saudável...Algumas semanas atrás a pessoa escolhida foi a musa francesa, Brigitte Bardot...Nesse instante eu percebi que nunca tentei uma caricatura feminina e, confesso, foi um tanto incomum prá mim. Assim, o melhor que eu consegui foi esse esboço estilizado dela, onde eu tentei realçar os olhos, cabelos e boca (traços marcantes).

O Sr. Laurie tem um interessantes formato de rosto, grandes olhos (e bota grande nisso),..., etc, por esse motivo ele tem sido incansavelmente desenhado por cartunistas ao redor do mundo. Algum tempo atrás eu fiz um esboço do Dr. House (mais uma ilustração prá ser sincero), masagora I decidi tentar uma caricatura. Eu espero que você goste do resultado.

The Rush is one of my favourite rock band...The band comes from Canada and its songs are fantastics like "Circumstances", "Big Money", Mystic Rhytims, "A Farewell to Kings", "Tom Sawyer",..., etc. Here in Brazil the song "Tom Sawyer" was played a lot in the TV Series "MacGyver" (I don´t know if the same fact happened in USA)...Now in October Rush will play here again. Thus, I decided to try the caricature of the great drummer, Neil Peart. I´d like to thanks my friend Chicão by the excellents pictures.

In July 2.010 during our Family Vacations, like a good Civil Engineer, I visited Hoover Dam located at Colorado River (on the border between US States of Nevada and Arizona). This fantastic construction was possible due the massive effort of the people, among them Mr. Herbert Clark Hoover. In 1.935, the Dam was concluded and it was named "Hoover Dam". Mr. Hoover was the 31th President of USA...Thus, this is my homenage to this great man for his vanguard.

Em Julho 2.010 durante nossas férias familiares, como um bom Engenheiro Civil, eu visitei a Barragem Hoover localizada no Rio Colorado (divisa entre os estados americanos de Nevada e Arizona). Freddie Mercury was a great singer of Queen group from England...His voice is fantastic. In fact Freddie was born in Africa - The United Republic of Tanzania - some people doesn´t know about this. Later to do the drawing, I looked to the artwork when my friend and master, Paulo Branco, suggested to wrinkle the paper. The result was this interesting caricature...Sometimes you can reach good results when you look to the things in a different way. This artwork was selected in the International Contest - Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Always when you thing about soccer, you can remember of the teams, goals, forwards, etc..., but the goalkeepers aren´t remebered. In fact, they avoid the goal...and the goal is the maximum exponent in the game...Because this, perhaps they can be hated. Here in Brazil, there is a goalkeeper that became the feeling different. Rogério Ceni, from São Paulo Futebol Clube, is the goalkeeper that more goals did in all times. Then this caricature, Retro style, I´d like to dedicate to the São Paulo´s fans: Léo, Luciano, Rinaldo, Rovério, Jair and my special friend Celso Carlos Antunes (where you can be...!!!).

Sempre quando você pensa em futebol, você pode se lembrar dos times, gols, artilheiros, etc..., mas os goleiros não são lembrados. Na verdade, eles evitam o gol...e o gol é o expoente máximo do jogo...Por isso, talvez eles sejam tão odiados. Aqui no Brasil, existe um goleiro que tornou o sentimento diferente. Tom Richmond is a great American Cartoonist...I love his style. The details, technics, etc. He is a MAD Magazine´s cartoonists, because this his works doesn´t need to be presented. I´ve been studying the Tom´s tutorials...It is very interesting. I tried to make a Tom´s caricature, but I ´m learning yet. The best statement to the caricature was put him in the MAD´s cover...What do you think about ???

Tom Richmond é um grande Cartunista Americano...Eu adoro seu estilo. Os detalhes, técnicas, etc. Ele é um dos cartunista da Revista MAD, por esse motivo seus trabalhos não precisam ser apresentados. Eu tenho estudado atentamente os seus tutoriais...São muito interessantes. Eu tentei fazer uma caricatura dele, mas eu ainda estou aprendendo. A melhor indicação que eu encontrei para essa carica foi colocá-la numa capa da Revista MAD...O que você acha ???

I love soccer...I´ve been participating of a group called "Dew Group". This group play soccer every week on thursday's night at "Círculo Militar de Campinas". Some days ago, we receive a very special guest to play with us, the great forward Finazzi. He is a professional...He played soccer in Ponte Preta, América - SP, Corinthians, Atlético - PR,..., etc. He is a great person. Hamilton, a friend of mine, asked me to draw him and I did...Then, Hamilton gave this caricature to him. It was fantastic for me to play soccer with him and to do the caricature too...I´d like to thank my "brother" Hamilton by the pictures.

Eu amo futebol...Eu tenho participado de um grupo chamado "Turma do Sereno". Esse grupo se reune para jogar futebol toda quinta-feira a noite no ambiente do "Círculo Militar de Campinas". Alguns dias atrás, nós recebemos um convidado muito especial para jogar conosco, o grande atacante Finazzi. Ele é um profissional. Ele já jogou futebol pela Ponte Preta, América- SP, Corinthians, Atlético - PR,..., etc. Ele é um cara muito bacana. Hamiltom, um amigo meu, me pediu para fazer uma carica dele e eu fiz...Então, Hamilton entregou prá ele...Foi fantástico para mim jogar futebol com ele e também fazer a carica. Eu gostaria de agradecer meu "brother" Hamilton, titular absoluto do gol do Sereno, pelas fotos.
